Giving Nature a Home

A place where nature can live and thrive in a semi managed environment

Undisturbed Areas

Areas left deliberately untouched to let nature have the space and environment it needs

An Acre of Safety

The plot welcomes all nature and gives it the space to grow in carefully planted areas

A bit about me and The Garden Jungle

Simon Marlow and a Golden Eagle

I've been a Wildlife and Nature Photographer for over 25 years and seven years ago, after a 23 year Military career in the Royal Air Force, 12 years as a Corporate Digital Media Front End Web Designer for 'Dulux' and now a Senior Analyst for an IT Software Company, left a busy city life to fulfil a dream to move to the country and create a wildlife haven for all animals and nature.

The Garden Jungle has given me the opportunity to create a garden sanctuary for nature and wildlife where nature decides planting decisions.

This is our nature garden project, a vibrant sanctuary designed to encourage and support a rich tapestry of wildlife and plant life. Here, you’ll find a carefully selected blend of native flora and diverse habitats, all working together to create an ecosystem full of life.

This one acre plot, we hope, is a vital refuge for birds, insects, and small animals, encouraging biodiversity.

There are two ponds, one large and one smaller pond with Pond Skaters, Dragonflies, Common, Smooth and Great Crested Newts resident along with Frogs and Toads which spend the summer and winter months around the garden and gather at the large pond for spawning in Spring.
